Realme C17 tipped to launch in India by end-November: specifications, expected price and more

In the second half of 2020, Realme launched a couple of Realme C-series smartphones including the Realme C11, Realme C12, Realme C15, and Realme C17. Among these, only the Realme C17 has not arrived in India yet. Fresh information reveals that the Realme C17’s India launch date could be drawing near.

According to tipster Mukul Sharma, the Realme C17 may launch by end-November or early December in India. Last month, Realme announced the Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro premium mid-range phones in China. There have been speculations that the X7 series phones will be also coming to other markets including India. A Twitter user asked Sharma whether the X7 series will launch with the C17, he responded saying that it could be possible.

The Realme C17 features a 90Hz refresh rate display

The Realme C17 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD punch-hole screen with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. After the Realme C1 phone that debuted in 2018, the Realme C17 is the second C-series to feature a Snapdragon chipset. The phone comes with the Snapdragon 460 SoC and 6GB of RAM.

The C17 has 128GB of native storage and a microSD card slot for more storage. The Realme UI based Android 10 OS comes preloaded on the device. The 5,000mAh battery of the C17 supports 18W fast charging.

The Realm C17 has an 8-megapixel camera for capturing selfie shots. The rectangle-shaped camera setup has a 13-megapixel main camera, a 119-degree 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Realme C17 pricing and availability

The Realme C17 debuted in Bangladesh in September for BDT 15,990 (~Rs 13,900). We expect it to be priced below Rs 12,000 in India.

In related news, Sharma recently revealed that Realme is also gearing up to launch Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition. It is unclear which processor will be powering the phone, but what is known is that it will be available 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB variants, and Power Blue and Power Silver color editions. There is no word on the launch date of the Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition at present.
