Since June, Realme has unveiled three C-series budget-friendly phones, the Realme C11 (review), Realme C12 (review), and Realme C15 in several markets including India. Today, the company held a launch event in Bangladesh to announce the Realme C17. It has arrived as the most powerful C-series smartphone from the brand.
The key highlight of the Realme C17 is its 90Hz display. The phone features a Snapdragon 460 chipset, large battery and fast charging capabilities.
Realme C17 specifications and features
The Realme C17 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a punch-hole design. The screen delivers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 600 nits maximum brightness. It offers a screen to body ratio of 90 percent.
The Realme C1 that debuted back in 2018 came with a Snapdragon chipset. Since then, all the C-series phones from the brand have featured MediaTek chipsets. The newly announced Realme C17 is equipped with the Snapdragon 460 mobile platform with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The handset offers users with 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage and a microSD card slot for more storage.
The phone runs Realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery, which the company claims can offer up to 18.6 hours of video playback, around 83.4 hours of music playback, up to 12.3 hours of gaming on PUBG, and nearly 36 hours of talk time. The handset is equipped with 18W fast charging technology and it also supports reverse charging.
The Realme C17’s rear camera system has a 13-megapixel primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree field-of-view, a 2-megapixel macro lens with 4cm focal length, and a 2-megapixel B&W portrait sensor. The Realme C17 has an AI-powered 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The smartphone comes with connectivity features such as dual SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Realme C17 pricing and availability
The Realme C17 is priced at BDT 15,990 (~Rs 13,900) for the sole 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in Bangladesh. The handset will be available in two colours such as Navy Blue and Lake Green beginning from September 24th. A recent report had revealed that the Realme C17 will be also coming to India, since it has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
