The Realme C21Y has quietly launched in Vietnam. It is a new CPU version of the Realme C21, which was announced in India in April. The handset features a tall aspect ratio display and a diamond-patterned rear shell.
The C21Y draws power from a massive battery. For photography, the handset features a 13-megapixel triple camera system. While the original C21 came with a Helio G35, the C21Y is said to be equipped with a Unisoc chip.
Realme C21Y specifications and features
The Realme C21Y has a 6.5-inch LCD display that offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 400 nits brightness. The waterdrop notch on the screen has an AI-driven 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Its rear shell has a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front and rear cameras offer photography features like portrait mode, fast forward, panorama, beauty mode, and HDR. The rear snapper also supports night scene mode and 30fps 1080p video recording.
The C21Y is powered by an unknown 12nm chip that works at up to 1.8GHz. Rumours surrounding the phone have claimed that it is equipped with a Unisoc T610 chip. The SoC is coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of storage. For more storage, it has a dedicated microSD card slot.
The Realme C21Y ships with Realme UI based on Android 10, and it is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery that supports reverse charging. The other features that are available on the C21Y include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a microUSB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.
Realme C21Y pricing and availability
The Realme C21Y is priced at VND 3,490,000 (~Rs 11,300) in Vietnam, and it comes in colours like Caramel Green and Black Caro. There is no word on whether this device will make it to India.
