Realme is stepping into 2020 riding high on global success. Currently, it is the 7th largest smartphone manufacturer on earth, and is among the fastest expanding businesses, having formed only in 2018. The company is currently working on two new budget smartphones called the Realme C3 and Realme 5i. Ahead of the official launch, the new Realme phones have appeared recently on the website of Singapore’s telecommunications regulatory body Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). The company has recently unveiled the Realme X2 in India, which is currently available for purchase on Flipkart. The newly spotted Realme C3 and 5i could be pocket-friendly phones. Probably, these devices could be also arriving in India in the early 2020.
The Realme C3 is likely to be the next budget device in Realme’s lineup. The company achieved a growth rate of 808% YoY since 2018, primarily riding on the success of the C-series smartphones. With the Realme C3, the Chinese firm would be looking at ways to further securing its position in the budget smartphone segment. The Realme C3, in fact, has been a part of the IMDA database since May 2019.
The Realme C3’s model number RMX1941 corresponds to the Realme C2’s model number, which seems to be a placeholder for the time being. Recent reports have claimed that the Realme could be working on the India launch of the Realme C3. The device might be the first launch from Realme in 2020. However, a tentative timeline is yet to be announced.
The Realme 5i is the fourth smartphone in Realme’s 5-series. Its appearance on IMDA speaks of an impending launch. The smartphone had surfaced in the database of numerous regulatory authority website in the past. The latest listing carries the model number RMX2030 for the Realme 5i, which matches with the information revealed earlier. The rumour mill is yet to reveal much of the specifications of the Realme C3 and Realme 5i smartphones.
