A new Realme smartphone that has a model number of RMX2020 has received approval from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) in Thailand. The NBTC listing has revealed that the RMX2020 phone will be arrival in the country as Realme C3. Interestingly, there is another listing of RMX2020 at NBTC with Realme C3s name. Probably, these could be same devices with different names. At the same time, other Realme RMX2040 and RMX2061 phones have bagged approvals from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). These phones are believed to be the Realme 6 series smartphones.
The Realme C3 will be arriving as the successor for the Realme C2 phone from last year. The Realme C3 moniker was also spotted on the website of Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) last month. At present, there are no details available on the specifications of the Realme C3. However, some unconfirmed leaks from last year had claimed that it could be arriving with a punch-hole screen.
Last year, Realme had launched Realme C2 (RMX1941 model number) in Thailand. The same model number was approved earlier this month with Realme C2s moniker. The Realme C2s that wen official last month has identical specs as Realme C2. Hence, the Realme C3 and C3s both bearing the same RMX2020 model number could be the same handset.
It is speculated that Realme will unveil the Realme C3 smartphone in Q1 2020 in India. The Chinese manufacturer is also expected to unleash Realme 6 and Realme U2 phones in the same quarter. The Realme 6 is also speculated to be equipped with a punch-hole display. Nothing is known about the Realme U2 phone. The predecessor Realme U1 was a selfie-centric smartphone with 25-megapixel selfie camera. The Realme U2 could be also be a selfie focused phone with a better front camera.
