Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, key specifications leaked online

Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is confirmed to launch soon in China. Ahead of the official launch, the specifications of the smartphone have surfaced online. Reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked key details of the upcoming smartphone on the microblogging platform Weibo.

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is expected to arrive as the successor to the GT Master Explorer Edition that debuted in 2021. The upcoming offering is already confirmed to be powered by the recently launched Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. 

Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition specifications (expected)

As per Digital Chat Station, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is said to feature an OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen will have curved edges and a centrally-placed punch-hole cutout. 

The tipster adds that the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will feature a 50MP main camera on the rear. The smartphone will likely be offered in two battery configurations like the Realme GT Neo 3 i.e. one with 4,800mAh with support for 150W charging and another with 5,000mAh with 100W fast charging. A 100W Realme charger with model number VCBAJACH that reportedly belongs to the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition was spotted on the 3C certification website.  

Apart from the aforementioned information, the tipster doesn’t reveal any additional details about the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition. A smartphone with model number RMX3551 powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was recently spotted on AnTuTu. It is expected to be the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition. 

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is tipped to launch in the second half of this year.
