Sheth said that the company will be soon holding a global launch for the GT 2 series. It will be releasing the GT 2 lineup in Europe and India. It appears that it will be confirming the launch dates for these markets in the coming days. The series includes two models such as the Realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro that are powered by the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets, respectively. It is unclear whether both models will be made available in India.

Realme’s new tablets and laptops

The Realme Pad was introduced within a price range of Rs 14,000 and Rs 18,000. Sheth revealed that the company will be launching tablets across different price points in the market in 2022. He did not specifically confirm whether it will be releasing a tablet powered by a flagship processor this year.

As far as the upcoming Realme Book is confirmed, the company has already confirmed that it will be powered by the 12th generation Intel Core processors. Since the details of the upcoming Realme Book are not available, it is unclear whether it will be arriving as an incremental upgrade or a completely new device.

Brands like Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, and HMD Global are offering three years of OS upgrades to certain devices. Commenting on the software update plans for Realme devices, Sheth said that Realme will continue to offer two years of OS updates and three years of regular security updates like before. Chinese smartphone OEMs have found it very difficult to expand their smartphone business in the US and only a few brands like Motorola, OnePlus, and TCL have managed to sell these phones in the US. Sheth said that Realme will not be releasing any smartphones in the US, but will instead bring its IT and AIoT products this year.
