Realme GT 5G has launched in the global markets. It is a flagship offering with top-of-the line specifications. The smartphone had debuted in China earlier in March this year.
The Realme GT 5G global version comes with the same specifications as the Chinese variant. It is the brand’s first Snapdragon 888 powered phone. The Realme GT 5G competes against the likes of Mi 11, OnePlus 9 (review) and others in the market. Let’s take a look at the latest smartphone below.
Realme GT 5G specifications and features
The Realme GT 5G offers a punch-hole AMOLED display measuring 6.43-inches. It features a 120Hz refresh rate screen integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is offered in two options – one with a glass back panel with gradient pattern and another in a vegan leather texture with a black stripe running down the rectangular camera module.
On the optics front, the Realme GT 5G sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro unit. The punch-hole cutout on the front accommodates a 16MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood, the Realme GT 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC. It packs up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone is also equipped with a stainless steel liquid cooling system to keep the temperatures low. A 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 65W fast charging keeps the Realme GT 5G running.
Connectivity options on the Realme GT 5G include a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 5G, 4G, WiFi-6, Bluetooth and NFC.
Realme GT 5G pricing and availability
The Realme GT 5G is offered in Dashing Silver, Dashing Blue and Racing Yellow colours. The base 8GB + 128GB variant costs €369 (~Rs 32,777) and will go on sale only on AliExpress. The higher 12GB + 256GB configuration carries a price tag of €599 (~Rs 53,192) but will be available for €499 (~Rs 44,325) as a part of early bird offer to all customers during the Amazon Prime Day from June 21st. The smartphone can be purchased in select countries including Poland, Spain, Russia, and Thailand with additional markets to follow. The phone is expected to launch in India in mid-July.
