Realme GT 5G and GT Master Edition will launch in India on August 18th. The event will be livestreamed on the company’s social channels. The announcement was shared by the brand’s India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth in the latest Ask Madhav episode
The Realme GT 5G had debuted in global markets and China in March and June this year respectively. The Indian variant also retains the same specifications as its global counterparts. There are multiple variants of the Realme GT available globally, including the recently announced GT Master Edition and GT Explorer Master Edition.
Realme GT 5G specifications and features
The Realme GT 5G comes with a punch-hole AMOLED display measuring 6.43-inches. It features a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is offered in either a glass back panel or a vegan leather texture with a black stripe running down the camera module.
The Realme GT 5G sports a triple rectangular camera module housing a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro unit. Up front, the device features a 16MP selfie snapper.
Internally, the Realme GT 5G is equipped with a flagship Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. There is a stainless steel liquid cooling system onboard to keep the temperature low. The smartphone draws its power from a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
The Realme GT 5G features a USB-C port, 3.5mm jack, 5G, 4G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, and NFC for connectivity.
As for the Realme GT Master Edition, it is a slightly toned-down version of the Realme GT. It is designed in collaboration with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa and features a suitcase-like design with 3D vegan leather and horizontal stripes on the back panel. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 778G processor and backed by a 4,300mAh battery life with 65W fast charging. Rest of the specifications remain the same as the original Realme GT 5G.
