The Realme GT (aka Realme Race) is one of the most anticipated smartphones from the brand. The handset is rumoured to be the first Snapdragon 888-powered offering from Realme. Now, the official Weibo handle of the brand has confirmed that the smartphone is launching on March 4th in China at 2pm (11.30am IST).

Additionally, the teasers posted by the brand confirm that the smartphone will be called the Realme GT and not Realme Race. Notably, a report in the past had claimed that the Realme Race will launch in India as Realme GT. The flagship offering is expected to come with Snapdragon 888 SoC, flat display, and a faster charging capability.

The posters shared by the brand on Weibo confirm that the smartphone will indeed come with the latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 888.
Realme executive Xu Qi Chase, who has been teasing the smartphone in the past, also posted on Weibo confirming the name of the device. Additionally, he mentions, “Pursue the ultimate and challenge 120 percent of yourself on the track you love”. While it may not mean anything but we can assume that the Realme GT may come with support for 120W fast charging. If that’s true, the Realme GT will take on the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra that also supports 120W fast charging, but has the previous-gen Snapdragon 865 SoC.
In related news, the noted tipster Digital Chat Station also revealed that the Realme GT will come with a new design. The handset will reportedly be offered in plain glass and leather variants.
Realme GT specifications and features (rumoured)
According to past leaks, the Realme GT is tipped to feature 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and may run Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. The flagship device is expected to come with an AMOLED display panel and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In the camera department, the Realme GT is rumoured to come with a 64MP triple camera setup on the back. Lastly, the phone will have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging support.
