Realme has launched its first Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone in China today. It is dubbed as the Realme GT. The smartphone has been doing the rounds on the internet for some time now.
The Realme GT is a flagship offering from the Chinese brand. It packs top-of-the-line specifications. The smartphone is offered in glass back panel variants and a vegan leather option. Let’s take a look at what the Realme GT offers out of the box.
Realme GT specifications and features
The Realme GT sports a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and punch-hole camera cutout. It is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The back panel is home to a rectangular camera module. The variant with a glass back panel has a gradient pattern while the vegan leather texture option has a black stripe running down the camera module.
The Realme GT features triple rear cameras consisting of a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro shooter. In the front, the device has a 16MP selfie snapper.
On the hardware front, the Realme GT houses Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 processor. It is paired with up to 1GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device is also equipped with a stainless steel VC cooling system for heat dissipation. The Realme GT is backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 65W fast charging.
Software-wise, the Realme GT runs Android 11 with Realme UI on top. Connectivity options on the smartphone include a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth and NFC.
Realme GT pricing and availability
The Realme GT starts at RMB 2,799 (~Rs 31,588) for the 8GB + 128GB variant while the 12GB + 256GB model costs RMB 3,299 (~Rs 37,096). The device is offered in Galaxy Battleship, Deep Sea Airship and Dawn (vegan leather) colours. The smartphone will go on sale from March 10th in China. There’s no word if the Realme GT will debut in the international markets.
