Realme GT Neo 4 tipped to launch soon with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 100W charging

  • Realme GT Neo 4 is said to be in the work for China
  • It is likely to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset
  • It will arrive as a rival to the Redmi K60

Realme GT Neo 4 is in the works, claims reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. As the name implies, it will arrive as a successor to the Realme GT Neo 3, which features the Dimensity 8100 chipset. The GT Neo 4 was previously speculated to feature the upcoming Dimensity 8200 chipset. However, the tipster claims that it will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8-series chipset.

Last year, Realme unveiled the Realme GT Neo 2 in September. Since the rumour mill has only leaked preliminary details about the GT Neo 4, it appears that the device will go official as early as October in China.

Realme GT Neo 3 supports 150W fast charging

According to the tipster, the Realme GT Neo 4’s AMOLED panel will carry support for 1.5K resolution. The screen will support a refresh rate of 120Hz and up to 2160 PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation). He revealed that instead of the Dimensity 8200 chipset, the GT Neo 4 will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The Realme GT Neo 3 was made available in 80W and 150W charging variants. However, the GT Neo 4 will carry support for 100W charging, added the tipster. He further mentioned that it will be stacked against the Redmi K60, which is yet to go official. We still don’t know if the phone comes with the latest Realme UI 4.0-based Android 13 OS already installed.

At present, there is no official word on the existence of the Realme GT Neo 4. While the handset is likely to go official in October in China, it may take a few more weeks to arrive in India. The GT Neo 3 was made available with a starting price of 1,999 Yuan. Hence, it appears that the GT Neo 4, if priced similarly, will debut as the most affordable SD8+G1-powered smartphone.
