Realme GT Neo 5 is reportedly in the works. A new leak claims that the device will come in two battery variants. One of them is likely to offer up to 240W fast charging. To recall, Realme unveiled the Realme GT Neo 3 earlier this year in multiple markets. The smartphone was released with two battery options: a 4,500 mAh battery and a 5,000 mAh battery. Both carried support for 150W and 80W fast wired charging, respectively.
Reports have claimed that the company may skip the Realme GT Neo 4 moniker since the number 4 is considered a bad omen in Asian markets. Hence, the upcoming Neo model, which is said to be the Realme GT Neo 5, is also expected to arrive in two battery variants with different charging capabilities like the predecessor model.
Realme GT Neo 5 may arrive in two battery variants
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, an upcoming Realme phone will come in two battery variants. The 5,000mAh battery variant of the device will support 150W fast charging, which may achieve a full charge in 15 minutes. The second variant will have a 4,600mAh battery with 240W rapid charging. In all likelihood, it will fully charge the phone in under 10 minutes.
While DCS didn’t mention the name of the device, it appears that he could be talking about the Realme GT Neo 5. The only other thing the tipster mentioned about the phone in the new leak is that it will feature a Sony IMX890 primary camera.
Realme GT Neo 5 specifications (rumoured)
According to recent reports, the Realme GT Neo 5 will have a 6.7-inch OLED display that produces a 1.5K resolution of 2,722 x 1,240 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The GT Neo 5 is expected to arrive with up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX890) + 8-megapixel (OmniVision OV08D10) + 2-megapixel (OV02B10) triple camera unit.
