Realme GT Neo 5 Lite could be in the works. It is the tentative name of the device, as some reports have claimed that it will be called the GT Neo 5 SE. A couple of leaks that have surfaced through China reveal that it will be an affordable version of the Realme GT Neo 5, which debuted as the world’s first phone with 240W fast charging earlier this month.
Earlier this week, a Chinese tipster claimed that the Realme GT Neo 5 Lite would be released in April in China. This indicates that it will rival the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is expected to break cover in the home market by March end. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to reveal the key specifications of the GT Neo 5 Lite.

Realme GT Neo 5 Lite design (rumoured)
The Realme GT Neo 5 Lite is expected to lack some features that are available on the GT Neo 5. The rear shell of the Neo 5 has a large camera block that houses the camera sensors on the left and a transparent portion with a C-shaped RGB light unit on the right. As per the tipster, the Realme GT Neo 5 Lite’s camera module, lens arrangement, and LED flash layout will remain unchanged. However, it will not have RGB lighting or a transparent cover.
The right side of the camera module will have the lens information that reads “MATRIX PORF 1.79F/EFL 25MM.” On the front, it will have a flat AMOLED panel with a centrally positioned punch-hole.
Realme GT Neo 5 Lite specification (rumoured)
The display size of the Realme GT Neo 5 Lite is not known, but it is expected to support a 1.5K resolution. The device will be powered by an upcoming Qualcomm chip with the SM7475 part number. This chip is likely to be called the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 when it goes official. According to rumours, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be powered by the same chip.
The GT Neo 5 Lite will house a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging. In comparison, the GT Neo 5 comes in 150W and 240W charging variants. Lastly, the leak also reveals that the Lite model will have a 64-megapixel OV64M primary camera, instead of the 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main snapper available on the GT Neo 5.
