- Realme GT Neo 5 will launch in February in China
- Two of its variants have been approved by Chinese certification sites
- The GT Neo 5 variants will support up to 240W fast charging
Realme GT Neo 5 has been approved by TENAA and 3C certification platforms in China, which is understandable since it is scheduled to launch in February. The GT Neo 5 will come with a 240W charger, which is the industry’s fastest solution to charge a smartphone.
It is speculated that the GT Neo 5 can be fully charged in around 8 minutes with a 240W charger. According to rumours, the phone will have two battery variants with different charging capabilities. It appears that this rumour might turn out to be true, as two alleged variants of the device have been approved by the aforementioned Chinese certification sites.
Realme GT Neo 5 Design
Two Realme phones with model numbers RMX3706 and RMX3708 have been approved by TENAA as well as 3C. The TENAA listings have the images of the phone, but they have yet to reflect the specifications. However, the 3C certification has revealed that the RMX3706 may support 150W charging, while the RMX3708 may offer 240W charging.
Hence, there is a possibility that the RMX3706 will be called the Realme GT Neo 5 150W, while the other model could be called the Realme GT Neo 5 240W. The 3C listings also state that these are 5G-enabled devices.
As far as design is concerned, both variants of the Realme GT Neo 5 have an OLED panel with a centrally aligned punch-hole. The back panels of the two variants have slightly different designs. Both phones have two camera rings that accommodate a triple camera unit, and a vertical LED flash unit. While the Realme GT Neo 5 240W has a square-shaped camera unit, its 150W variant has a rectangle camera block. The left side of both devices features volume up and down buttons, while the right edge has a power button. The GT Neo 5 seems to be fitted with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
