Realme GT 5G Performance Flagship, Realme GT Camera Flagship launching soon

  • It will launch GT branded models globally in June and July


Realme held a 5G Summit in collaboration with GSM Association, Qualcomm, and Counterpoint Research yesterday. During the summit, Realme revealed its aim of delivering 100 million 5G smartphones to consumers within the next three years. In 2020, Realme launched 14 5G devices in 21 markets, which accounted for around 40 percent of all its devices.

The brand has a set of goal of launching more than 20 5G devices that will account for 70 precent of all its devices in as many as 50 markets by next year. Realme also confirmed that it will be announcing the Realme GT 5G Performance Flagship in June, followed by the arrival of the Realme GT Camera Flagship in July.

The Realme GT 5G Performance Flagship is expected to be the same device which was announced earlier this year in China. It will be globally debuting in June, and it is also expected to launch this month in India. The Realme GT 5G has a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W charging.

The phone has a 16-megapixel front camera, and its rear camera setup has a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. At present, there is no information on the Realme GT camera flagship that is expected to debut in July.

Realme 5G to launch more affordable 5G phones

Currently, Realme offers 5G phones in a price range of $150 to $600. For faster 5G adoption, the firm aims to launch 5G smartphones with a pricing of $100. Since India is a major market for the brand, it appears that the company could be planning to launch 5G phones priced around Rs 10,000.

The company has R&D centers in regions like China, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, India, Middle East & Africa, and South America. It claimed that 90 percent of them have converted to 5G technology. It will be investing $300 million in 5G tech to launch innovative 5G products.
