Realme became the fastest smartphone brand in the world to hit 50 million shipments in Q3 2020. During the third quarter, 30 million of the smartphone shipments came from the Indian market. The company reported 132 percent QoQ and 45 percent YoY growth in the third quarter.
Now, Realme has revealed that it sold 8.3 million products during the brand’s festive days sale. Out of the total shipments, 6.3 million units were smartphones. The company reported 20 percent growth compared to festive days sale last year. Madhav Sheth also revealed that the brand recorded 1,90,000 TV sales during the festive days.
Realme clocks 8.3 million sales during festive season days
To recall, Realme was established back in 2018. According to the Counterpoint Q3 2020 Global Smartphone Shipment Report, Realme is also the fastest-growing smartphone brand for five consecutive quarters. It has become the 4th largest smartphone brand in India since Q4 2018. The company offers smartphones across various price segments.
Meanwhile, according to IDC, Realme emerged as the number one brand in the wearables category with 22.1 percent market share in India. The Realme Watch was the most shipped device in the second and third quarter. Realme also became the number one brand in the TWS market driven by Buds Air Neo and Buds Q as per Counterpoint.
Commenting on the achievement, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth said in a statement ‘We are overwhelmed to see the adoption of Realme products at such a fast pace. Realme offers the most blockbuster products which are high on features, style, and performance and is available across price segments.’
