Realme laptops are tipped to launch in the third quarter of this year. The Chinese brand had joked about launching a laptop called ‘Realme MeowBook’ for April Fool’s day. However, the latest development comes from an official survey on the Realme community forum.
The survey includes various questions that are specific to the user’s laptop preferences. In one question, Realme asks participants if they are planning to purchase a laptop in the next three months. This indicates that the company may be indeed launching its first laptops in Q3 2021.
Realme laptops expected to arrive in Q3 2021
The survey on laptop preferences is being conducted via Google Forms. Realme says that the company is receiving tons of requests for laptops and the company wants to understand user requirements. The questionnaire asks for basic information like the participant’s gender, age group and annual income.
As for laptop-related questions, Realme asks the brand of laptops owned by participants and when they purchased their current laptop. With this question, Realme aims to understand who they will be competing against when their laptops arrive in the market. The company wants to know additional information like what influences buyers’ decisions while purchasing a laptop, and features that are more or least important. Realme is also asking respondents about their usage of laptop.
Lastly, apart from asking whether respondents are planning to buy a laptop in the next 3 months, Realme has also asked how much they are willing to spend. The range starts at under Rs 30,000 and goes up to Rs 50,000 and above. This suggests that Realme’s upcoming laptop could be priced within that range.
The survey strongly hints that Realme may be entering the laptop space. It is most likely to arrive in Q3 2021 or after that. The brand will take on the likes of Xiaomi, Honor, Dell, ASUS, Lenovo and more in the market.
