Realme’s MagDart magnetic wireless charging technology will be announced at 5.30pm on August 3rd in India. Yesterday, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth confirmed that the upcoming Realme Flash will be the world’s first Android smartphone to carry support for wireless magnetic wireless charging. Hence, the company may showcase the Realme Flash at the upcoming event, which will be live-streamed through the brand’s YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook channels.
Leaked renders that were shared by GizmoChina earlier this month have suggested that there could be different types of MagDart magnetic chargers for different kinds of devices. A fresh leak by tipster Mukul Sharma has revealed that Realme’s MagDart technology will not just charge smartphones, but also other devices from the brand.
Realme MagDart: what to expect
Shown below is a render of a box-shaped MagDart charger shared by GSMArena that seems to be equipped with a fan and a USB Type-C port. For charging, it can be snapped on to the rear panel of the device with magnetic rings. While there is no information available on the exact charging speeds that the charger can produce, GSMArena confirmed that the speeds will exceed 15W and be the fastest magnetic charger in the world.
Another type of MagDart charger has a puck-shaped design. It features a built-in cable and reportedly supports a 15W charger. Tipster Mukul Sharma has additionally shared an image of a MagDart charging pad. As can be seen, it can be used for charging a wide range of devices like the Realme Book, Realme Pad, Realme Watch, TWS earbuds, and smartphones.
