Realme Narzo 10 and 10A launch in India postponed again, after MHA order restricts sales of non-essentials

Recently, a notice from the Ministry of Home Affairs stated that e-commerce websites can commence operations from April 21st and accept orders for non-essentials including smartphones, appliances, laptops, TVs and more. In light of the new development, Realme announced that its Narzo series of affordable smartphones including the Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A will be launched in the country on April 21st. Notably, the new series was previously expected to launch in India on March 26th, but the launch was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and resultant lockdown. It seems that the launch of the new series won’t be happening anytime soon.

Realme Narzo 10 and 10A launch in India postponed again

Realme has tweeted from its official handle that the April 21st launch of the Narzo series has been suspended until further notice. The caption of the tweet reads, A minor setback lays the foundation for a major comeback. The launch of #realmeNarzo has been postponed until further notice. We will be back to make you all #FeelThePower.” This new development comes after the MHA retracted its original statement and issued another notice that the e-commerce websites will continue to be restricted to essential goods only, which means no online orders for smartphones will be allowed.

Realme Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A specifications and features

The Narzo 10 and 10A are positioned as affordable offerings from the brand, and will be priced below the Realme 6 series in India. Both handsets will flaunt a 6.5-inch display with a waterdrop notch and screen to body ratio of 89.8 percent. Another common feature of these two smartphones is the 5,000mAh battery. Fast charging is also expected on the Realme Narzo 10. The Narzo 10 is expected to be the re-badged Realme 6i for the Indian market, which means we can expect the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, 48MP quad cameras and more. The Narzo 10A, on the other hand, will feature a gaming-centric processor as well, along with a triple rear camera setup.
