Realme Narzo 50, GT 2 series India launch soon, confirms Madhav Sheth

Realme Narzo 50, GT 2 series India launch has been confirmed by Realme CEO Madhav Sheth. In the latest edition of the AskMadhav YouTube series, Sheth confirmed the arrival of these devices. Realme is now gearing up to unveil the Realme 9 Pro lineup on February 16th, 2022, in India.

The Realme 9 Pro comprises two models such as Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+. Realme has already confirmed that these devices will launch in India on February 16th. Hence, it appears that the Narzo 50 and GT 2 lineup may debut in the next two months.

In Episode 31 of the AskMadhav YouTube series (from timestamp 10:14 onwards), Sheth said the Narzo series will soon offer products in different price segments, which indicates that more Narzo 50 lineup handsets could be coming soon to India. As far as GT 2 series is concerned, he said that its launch is drawing near. It appears that the company may tease the arrival of these devices soon after the launch of the Realme 9 Pro lineup.

Realme GT 2 Pro features a QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Two Narzo models such as Narzo 50 and Narzo 50A Prime have been spotted at certification websites. Reports have revealed that the RMX3286 that have been spotted at Thailand’s NBTC, Europe’s EEC, Indonesia’s TKDN, and India’s BIS may go official as the Narzo 50A. However, none of these certifications has revealed any concrete information on the specs of the Narzo 50.

The Narzo 50A Prime is believed to be an enhanced version of the Narzo 50A, which was announced in September 2021. While the device is said to carry an RMX3516 model number, the rumour mill is yet to leak its specifications. In addition, the Realme Q3s, which debuted last year, may get rebranded as the Narzo 50 Pro 5G in India.

The Realme GT 2 series includes two flagship devices such as Realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro.  The Snapdragon 888 powered GT 2 has a 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX766 with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.

The Realme GT 2 Pro has a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO QHD+ 120Hz display, a 32-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX766 with OIS) + 50-megapixel (150-degree ultrawide) +3-megapixel (microscope) triple camera unit. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is present under the hood of the GT 2 Pro. Both devices are equipped with Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 on top, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
