Realme Narzo 50A and Narzo 50i roundup: price in India, launch date, sale on Flipkart, specifications and more

Realme Narzo 50 series has finally gone official in the country.  The lineup will include the Narzo 50A and Narzo 50i smartphones. While Narzo 50i is an entry-level offering, Narzo 50a the first from the brand to feature a 50MP camera. In addition, Realme also launched the Realme Band 2 and Realme Smart TV Neo 32-inch.

The Narzo 50A has debuted as the successor to the Narzo 30A launched earlier this year. Realme is skipping the Narzo 40 naming as the number ‘4’ is considered unlucky in China. Prior to launch, both Realme and Flipkart had revealed key specifications of the Narzo 50A. Here’s everything we know about these smartphones.

Realme has launched the Narzo 50 series on September 24th i.e. Friday at 12.30pm. The launch event was live streamed on the brand’s official YouTube channel as well as its social media handles and e-commerce platform Flipkart

Realme Narzo 50 series: price in India

Realme has launched Narzo 50a and Narzo 50i in India. The smartphone comes in Oxygen Blue and Oxygen Gree colours. There are two variants of the handset. Below are the prices of both variants.

The Realme Narzo 50 series will be available for purchase on Flipkart, the company’s official website, and mainline channels across the country. The smartphones will be available starting October 7th at midnight.

MediaTek Helio G85 processor:

Both Realme and Flipkart have revealed that the Narzo 50A will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor which is the same as the Narzo 30A. It is based on 12nm architecture clocked at 2.0GHz and the chipset is coupled with Mali-G52 GPU onboard. The phone comes in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB configurations. 

Massive battery

The Realme Narzo 50A is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery unit that is claimed to offer 54 days of usage on standby mode. It is said to deliver 111 hours of Spotify and 27 days of YouTube usage on a single charge. The smartphone will feature Super Power Saving mode with a 5 percent battery said to last for 2.6 days on standby. The Realme Narzo 50A supports 18W fast charging via a USB-C port. 

Triple rear cameras

The Realme Narzo 50A’s back panel sports triple rear cameras. The setup consists of a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP portrait lens, and a 2MP macro unit. The device comes with a super nightscape feature. The Narzo 50A features an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and face unlock. 

Display and design

The Narzo 50A comes with a waterdrop notch display. On the back, it is equipped with a huge square camera module housing three sensors, an LED flash, and also a conventional fingerprint scanner. The smartphone flaunts a dual-tone design with diagonal vertical stripes. The SIM card slot seems to be located on the left side of the device. The Narzo 50A comes in Oxygen Blue and Oxygen Green colours.

The Realme Narzo 50i is positioned below the Narzo 50A. The phone has a square camera module on the back housing a single sensor paired with an LED flash and Narzo branding. The back panel has a dual-tone design with the top featuring a smooth finish while the latter half having vertical diagonal stripes. The smartphone lacks a physical fingerprint scanner and may rely on the face unlock feature. 

The Narzo 50i comes in Mint Green and Carbon Black colours. The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display, an unknown 1.6GHz octa-core processor, up to 4GB RAM, up to 64GB storage, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with reverse charging support.
