Realme smartwatch teased by CEO Madhav Sheth, to launch in India soon

Realme announced its first fitness tracker the Realme Band (review) in India last month. The company is also working on a smartwatch, and CEO Madhav Sheth has officially teased the wearable on his latest #AskMadhav YouTube episode. He revealed that the smartwatch will be launched soon in India. This is not all, as the executive was also seen wearing the offering on his arm. Design-wise, the smartwatch looks inspired by Apple’s Watch series. With a square-shaped dial and a black strap, it looks almost identical to Apple’s offering. However, the Sheth didn’t reveal much else about the watch during the episode.

We do not know the name of the smart wearable, but as OPPO launched its watch with a moniker OPPO Watch, one can expect Realme to follow suit. In addition to this, Sheth also talked about the company’s plan to roll out new watch faces to Realme Band users. Realme is also issuing a fix for the call notification bug via the latest update. Additionally, the company is also preparing to launch Bluetooth speakers in the Indian market.

In addition to this, Sheth also announced the arrival of a new colour variant for Realme 6 Pro. It has been named Lightning Purple. An unannounced white coloured variant of the Realme 6 Pro is also in the offing. The Realme 6 will also receive some of the exclusive features of the Pro version. These include front camera slow motion and UIS. However, features like Nightscape 3.0 and Tripod mode will not roll out to any existing model, and will only come pre-loaded in upcoming models.
