Realme TV with Android TV OS launched in 32-inch and 43-inch sizes: price, specifications

Realme had previously announced its intention to expand into a lifestyle brand in India, with a major focus on IoT devices. The company has already announced its Realme Link app, which will turn your smartphone into a universal hub for all Realme devices. The brand then went on to launch the Realme Band (review) earlier this year and Realme Watch today, which make use of the Realme Link app.

The third lifestyle device from Realme comes in the form of Realme TV, its first entry into the segment. The Realme TV is an Android 9.0-based smart TV. It features a bezel-less form factor with an immersive display panel, and is being offered in two sizes as of now. Here’s all you need to know about the newly launched Realme TV.

Realme is offering the latest TV in 32-inch and 43-inch sizes, which come with HD and full HD resolution, respectively. The TVs feature thin bezels (Realme says they are as thin as 8.7mm) and up to 400 nits of brightness. They are also equipped with the Chroma Boost picture engine, which Realme claims can enhance the overall picture quality and improve brightness, colour, contrast and clarity.

Powering the Realme TV is a quad-core 64-bit MediaTek processor with a new Mali-470 MP3 GPU. The TV has 1GB RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage. The Realme TV runs Android TV (Android 9( Google Assistant baked in. In the audio department, the Realme TV is equipped with two sets of speakers located at the bottom, each comprising one full-range speaker and one tweeter. The total audio output of these four speakers is 24W and the sound is tuned by Dolby Audio.

The Realme TV features built-in Chromecast, which lets users stream content and mirror their phone’s display. The television also comes with pre-installed OTT apps like Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and more. The TV’s smart remote gets dedicated buttons for the aforementioned OTT platforms as well as Google Assistant. Realme says all other OTT apps are also supported by the TV, including Disney+ Hotstar, and these can be downloaded via the Play Store.

Connectivity-wise, the Realme TV offers 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Infrared, DLNA, Bluetooth 5.0, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, SPDIF, DVB-T2 (Digital TVinterface), and Ethernet.

Realme TV price in India

The Realme TV price in India starts at Rs 12,999 for the 32-inch model and goes up to Rs 21,999 for the 43-inch model. The first sale of the TV will take place on June 2nd at 12pm via Realme.com and Flipkart. Realme is also offering buyers a 6-month free subscription to YouTube Premium, as well as a 1-year additional warranty on the panel.
