Realme TV and Realme Watch to launch in India on May 25th

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth teased the Realme Watch on an episode of #AskMadhav back in March. We got a glimpse of the smartwatch back then. Soon after, a massive leak revealed key details about the Realme Watch. The company has also been working on its first smart TV, which was expected to be announced at an event in China on May 25th.

Now, Realme has confirmed that the Realme Watch and Realme TV will both be launched in India on the same date. The company will be live streaming the event on May 25th at 12.30pm, across its social media handles as well as YouTube.

According to the aforementioned leak, the Realme Watch will come sporting a 1.4-inch touchscreen display with 320 x 320 pixels resolution. The smartwatch will feature a square dial with a single button on the right. It will ship with silicon watch straps. Both a heart rate sensor and blood oxygen sensor are also part of the package.

The Realme Watch will allegedly feature a 160mAh battery, which could provide up to 7 days of backup with 24-hour heart rate monitoring. It is also expected to offer tracking for 15 activities including running and yoga, sedentary reminders, water reminders, weather data, sleep data, and more.

Other features of the watch are likely to include Bluetooth 5.0, an accelerometer, multiple watch faces, music player control, remote shutter for a phone camera, and support for Hindi.

Realme TV specifications and features

Not much is known about the Realme TV at this point, except that it will be available in a 43-inch model, as revealed in BIS certification. However, Realme might launch a base 32-inch model, as well as a 55-inch high-end QLED variant.

A recent leak revealed that the Realme TV will come with Android TV and have the Netflix app pre-loaded. We can also expect the TV to have pre-installed apps for popular OTT apps such as Prime Video, Hotstar, Zee5 and others. The television is expected to come with Google Assistant for hands-free voice control as well.
