Realme is soon set to enter the television and smartwatch market. The brand is confirmed to unveil both the devices in India on May 25th. Additionally, the Realme TV and Realme Watch will also be announced in China on the same date. The launch event will be live-streamed at 12.30pm IST across Realme’s social media channels and YouTube. Now, ahead of the launch, the key specifications and design of the Realme TV have been revealed on e-commerce platform Flipkart. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth said in a tweet that the brand’s TV is customised for Indian users. The television is reportedly built based on ideas shared by Realme fans.
Realme TV specifications and features
The Flipkart listing of the Realme TV confirms that it will feature a bezel-less design and offer an immersive smart cinema experience. It will be equipped with Chroma Boost picture engine offering up to 400 nits of brightness. The company says that the display will be 20 percent brighter than the average in the same segment. On the audio front, the Realme TV will be equipped with quad stereo speakers producing a 24W sound output with support for Dolby Audio. The television is also claimed to be the first in segment to offer four speakers.
Under the hood, the Realme TV will be powered by a 64-bit MediaTek quad-core processor comprising of an ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-470 MP3 GPU. Lastly, the Flipkart teaser also hints at AI capabilities like turning on the smart TV via voice commands. As per Madhav Sheth, the Realme TV is teased to run on Android TV so users can expect Google Assistant support.
Apart from this, the Flipkart teaser doesn’t reveal anything else about the Realme TV. As per BIS certification, the television is expected to be available in a 43-inch variant. Additionally, 32 and 55-inch variants are also rumoured. We will know more details at the launch event on 25th May.
