Realme is soon going to launch its first V-series smartphone in China. The company took to Weibo today to confirm that the first device in the series will be debuting as Realme V5. It is speculated that the Realme V5 could be a premium mid-range phone.
The design of the Realme V5 looks similar to the Realme RMX2121 that was certified by Chinese telecom authority TENAA last month. Hence, it appears that the RMX2121 is the upcoming V-series phone. The TENAA listing of the Realme V5 has also revealed several key specifications of the handset.
Realme V5 specifications and features
The official poster of the Realme V5 reveals a rectangular camera module. It is the first time that company has used this camera layout on a smartphone. As per the TENAA listing, the cameras consist of 48MP, 8MP, 2MP and 2MP sensors. A side-facing fingerprint sensor can be seen on the right spine of the Realme V5. Prominient Realme branding can be seen on the back panel of the phone. The volume rocker and SIM slot are placed on the left edge of the V5.
Coming to the front of the Realme V5, the TENAA listing reveals that it has a 6.55-inch screen with full HD+ resolution. The punch-hole camera cutout houses a a 16MP selfie camera.
The Realme V5 will feature a 4,900mAh battery. It will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz, and be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM, and 128GB and 256GB storage variants. The phone runs Android 10, presumably with Realme UI on top.
