Realme launched its first-ever wearable in India in the form of Realme Band (review) in March this year. Last month, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth then officially teased the next wearable from the brand called the Realme Watch on one of the Ask Madhav episodes on YouTube. A massive leak confirmed almost every detail of the upcoming smartwatch from the brand, and Realme then confirmed several of these features on its official website.
The company has now launched the Realme Watch in India today alongside the Realme TV through an online event, The watch comes with a square dial and silicon straps. The highlights of the smartwatch include continuous heart rate monitoring, 14 activity tracking modes, SpO2 blood oxygen level monitor, and more as its highlights.
Realme Watch specifications and features
The Realme Watch is a lightweight smartwatch crafted from polycarbonate and silicon and weighs 31gms. The company is offering the phone in two strap options – Classic and Fashion – with buckle and button clasps, respectively. The watch also features an IP68 rating, which means it can withstand dust, dirt, and sand, and can be submerged up to 1.5m underwater for 30 minutes. For navigation, there’s a physical button on the right edge of the device.
The Realme Watch is equipped with a 1.4-inch colour capacitive touchscreen with 320 x 320 pixels screen resolution. Powering the watch is a 160mAh battery, which Realme claims can last up to 7 days with the heart rate monitor on and 9 days with with it turned off. The watch will last up to 20 days on power-saving mode. The watch comes with Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and requires the Realme Link app to be installed. Currently, it only supports Android devices running Android 5.0 and above, but iOS support will be available in the future.
Coming to the fitness features, the Realme Watch can track 14 activities including outdoor run, walk, indoor run, outdoor cycle, aerobic capacity, strength training, football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, indoor cycle, elliptical, yoga, and cricket. There are health monitoring features as well, including heart rate sensor, 24-hour real-time heart rate monitoring, SpO2 blood oxygen measurement, sleep detection, steps counter, calories tracker, water reminder, sedentary reminder, activity records and more.
Other features of the Realme Watch include music control, remote smartphone camera shutter, weather, smart notifications, and more.
Realme Watch price in India
The Realme Watch is being offered in a single black colour option. The smartwatch will set you back by Rs 3,999 and will be available Flipkart, as well as Realme official online store, starting 12pm on June 5th. Realme will also offer Blue, red, and green straps for the smartwatch at Rs 499 each on the aforementioned stores.
