Realme X Launching In India On July 15th

Realme had launched the Realme X and Realme X Lite (a rebranded version of Realme 3 Pro) in China in May. Since then, Realme fans in India have been waiting for the arrival of the Realme X smartphone in the country. Now, Realme has sent out press invites confirming that the device will be launched in India on July 15th. The event will take place at 12pm in New Delhi.

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth had tweeted that the company will be releasing a special Spiderman themed edition of the Realme X in India in association with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home movie that will premier on July 4th. Last month, Realme had launched the Realme X: Spiderman Edition with a custom box and themes in China. It appears that the same device with some customisations for the Indian market will be announced on July 15th as well.

The top-end variant of the Realme X is dubbed as Realme X Master Edition in China. It comes in Onion and Garlic special editions. Sheth had earlier confirmed that the Onion and Garlic Master Editions will also be releasing in India.

Realme X Price in India

In China, the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage editions of the Realme X are priced at 1,599 Yuan and 1,799 Yuan respectively . They are available in Steam White and Punk Blue colours. The Realme X Master Edition has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is priced at 1,899 Yuan. Sheth had confirmed in the past that the Realme X will be available for around Rs 18,000 in India, although this could be the starting price.


Realme X Specifications

The Realme X has a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with a notch-less design. The full HD+ resolution screen is embedded with a fingerprint sensor. The Snapdragon 710 fuels the smartphone and it is packed with a 3,765mAh battery that supports 20W VOOC Flash Charge technology.

ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie runs on the device. The rear shell of the phone features a 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. For snapping selfies, there is a pop-up selfie shooter of 16-megapixels on the device. It lack support for microSD card slot. The usual connectivity features like dual 4G VOLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm audio jack are available on the Realme X.

Sheth has said that the Realme X for India will be different from the China variant. The Snapdragon 730 powered Xiaomi Redmi K20 that features a full screen display and a pop-up selfie camera is also expected to go official around the same time India. Some rumours have claimed that the Indian variant of the Realme X will be powered by the Snapdragon 730.
