Realme had recently confirmed that it is expanding to China by launching a new smartphone. The new device is dubbed as the Realme X and is a flagship offering from the company. Let’s see what this device offers out of the box:
The Realme X is the first phone in the company’s product lineup to sport a full-screen display. It comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen bearing FHD+ resolution. The device also features a pop-up selfie camera and a 6th generation in-display fingerprint scanner. Design-wise, the Realme X flaunts a glass and metal unibody design. The back panel houses a dual camera setup stacked in the centre, instead of the top left corner as seen on previous Realme devices. The device can be availed in two gradient colour options (with an S-shaped pattern) – a bluish purple and a whitish pink. The top-end variant i.e 8GB will be available in onion and garlic textures, which Realme claims are inspired by nature.
In the camera department, the Realme X comes with a 48MP primary camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor. It is accompanied by a 16MP secondary sensor. Up front, the device features a 20MP selfie camera on a motorised elevating mechanism. Like the Realme 3 Pro, this device will also come with camera features like Nightscape and Chroma Boost.
On the hardware front, the Realme X is equipped with a Snapdragon 710 chipset. It is offered in three RAM and storage configurations of 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB. Software-wise, the device runs Android 9 Pie layered with custom ColorOS 6 on the top. A 3,765mAh battery unit fitted inside keeps the Realme X running. It features OPPO’s proprietary VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. On the connectivity front, the Realme X comes with a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack and other conventional options.
Realme X Lite:
The Realme X Lite is a rebranded variant of the Realme 3 Pro in China. It sports the same design and specs as the Realme 3 Pro, which means a 6.3-inch FHD+display with waterdrop notch, Snapdragon 710 SoC, 16MP+5MP rear camera and a 4,045 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support. The Realme X Lite can be availed in three configurations i.e. 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, and 6GB+128GB.
