Realme X with Snapdragon 710 SoC, 8GB RAM Surfaces on Geekbench Ahead of Launch

Realme has been actively teasing its upcoming mid-range Realme X smartphone on Weibo since the last few days. So far, the company has confirmed the Realme X will feature a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and an In-display fingerprint sensor. However, Realme is yet to confirm the chipset powering the smartphone. If an alleged Realme X listing on Geekbench is to be believed, it will have the same Snapdragon 710 octa-core chipset inside as the Realme 3 Pro. The Realme 3 Pro is expected to be launched in China alongside the Realme X as the Realme X Youth Edition.

Realme X to Run on a Snapdragon 710 Chipset?

The RMX1901 listing on Geekbench reveals the smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset running under its hood. In addition to the chipset, the Geekbench listing tells us the Realme X will come equipped with 8GB of RAM. While the variant listed on TENAA only packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, rumors suggest the Realme X is likely to be offered in three different memory configurations. The smartphone’s TENAA listing also revealed a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 16MP pop-up selfie camera, 48MP + 5MP dual rear cameras, and a 3680mAh battery.

Realme X Geekbench

Moving on to the benchmark scores, Realme X achieved 1,506 points in the single-core test and 5,837 points in the multi-core test. Both scores are on par with other Snapdragon 710-powered smartphones, including the Realme 3 Pro. As for software, the smartphone will be running on the latest Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 right out of the box. If the Geekbench listing is genuine, it means the recent leak which claimed the Realme X will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 730 chipset was inaccurate. The same leak had also claimed a Pro variant of the Realme X is in the works, featuring Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset. Realme will be launching the Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition in China at an event in Beijing on May 15.
