Realme X: Spiderman Edition With Custom Box And Themes Launched In China

On: June 28, 2019

Limited Edition smartphones are quickly becoming a fad these days. After OnePlus and OPPO, Realme is the latest brand to join the bandwagon in launching a limited edition variant of its device. The company has tied up with Sony Pictures to announce the Realme X Spiderman Edition, based on Marvel’s upcoming Spiderman: Far From Home film.

Realme had launched the Realme X in China last month. The Spiderman Edition of the device comes in a Pearl White colour variant in a custom gift box. Included inside is a Red case with Spiderman: Far From Home logo along with a VOOC 3.0 charger and a proprietary cable. The special edition device will also come with a Spiderman-themed icon pack and wallpaper. Being a special edition smartphone, the Realme X will be available in limited quantities. It is already up for pre-order on the Realme website and will go on sale in China at 10am on July 9th in a lone 8GB+128GB option at 1,799 Yuan (~Rs 18,100).

The Realme X: Spiderman Edition retains the same specifications from the regular model. The device features a full-screen FHD+ AMOLED display measuring 6.5-inches. It comes with a sixth generation in-display fingerprint scanner and a pop-up camera that houses a 20MP selfie shooter. The Realme X sports a dual camera setup consisting of a 48MP main sensor and 16MP secondary lens. Under the hood, the smartphone houses a Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The Realme X runs on a 3,765mAh battery unit with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

The Realme X is expected to debut in the Indian market soon, and given that Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth tweeted about the brand’s association with the film, it’s likely that this variant will make its way to the country as well.
