Realme X50 5G Lite Youth Edition teased ahead of launch

Realme will be holding a launch event on January 7th in China. The Chinese firm will be announcing the Realme X50 5G smartphone and Realme Buds Air in its home market. A new teaser from the company reveals that the company will be also launching the Realme X50 5G Youth Edition (also known as Realme X50 5G Lite) smartphone at the same event. Nothing is known on the specs of the X50 5G Youth Edition. However, the name of the smartphone suggests that it could be a lite version of the Realme X50 5G.

On Weibo, Realme has shared a poster that contains a large-sized “Y” letter. Moreover, the Weibo post was published using a Realme X50 5G Youth Edition. Realme China CMO Xu Qi has also been using the same device for adding posts on Weibo. Hence, it is quite evident that the Realme X50 5G Youth Edition will be also launching on January 7th.

The model number of the Realme X50 5G is RMX2051. It is believed that the Realme RMX2052 handset that was recently spotted at the database of China’s MIIT could be the Realme X50 Youth Edition. The CMIIT listing only confirmed that it is a 5G-ready handset. The Realme brand was introduced in China last year. The Realme X had debuted as its first smartphone. The Chinese firm had also launched the Realme X Youth Edition alongside at the same event.

Realme X50 specifications and features

Past reports have revealed that the Realme X50 5G will be driven by the Snapdragon 765G chipset. The Geekbench appearance of the phone has revealed that is loaded with Android 10 and the SoC is coupled with 8GB of RAM.

The Realme X50 5G features a dual punch-hole screen that is rumored to include 32-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual selfie cameras. The backside of the phone has a quad camera system. It is speculated to feature a 64-megapixel main lens. The X50 5G will be arriving with improved version of VOOC 4.0 fast charging through which it can reach 70 percent from scratch in just 30 minutes. It will be equipped with a liquid cooling system for heat dissipation. The smartphone will be able to connect to Wi-Fi and 5G signals simultaneously. Also, the device is fitted with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
