Realme X50 5G launching in China on January 7th

Realme is gearing up to launch the Realme X50 as its 5G ready phone in China. Since the past few weeks, the Chinese firm had been teasing on the features of the Realme X50 5G. Today, the company has officially confirmed that it will be holding a press conference on January 7th in China to announce the Realme X50 5G. Since it is powered by Snapdragon 765G, it will be arriving as a major rival for the Redmi K30 5G which also features the same SoC. The official poster that Realme has released through its Weibo account that the Realme X50 5G launch event will be held in Beijing, China at 2:00 PM on January 7th. It remains to be seen whether the company announces a 5G enabled ‘Pro’ or a ‘Youth Edition’ model alongside it.

The Snapdragon 765G will allow the Realme X50 to support dual-mode Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) 5G in China. The device will support n1, n41, n78, n79 5G frequencies along with other frequency bands. Both the SIM slots of the phone will support 5G SIM cards. The Realme X50 will arrive with support for dual-band Wi-Fi and it will also have the ability to connect Wi-Fi and 5G networks simultaneously to increase the connectivity speed in all scenarios.

The Realme X50 5G could be featuring a 6.44-inch display. What’s known is that the display will have a pill-shaped punch-hole at the top-left corner for the two selfie cameras. The display of the Realme X50 5G is also expected to arrive with support for 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to come equipped with quad rear cameras. The exact size of the phone’s battery is not known yet. However, the company has already confirmed that the smartphone will support enhanced VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. The improved fast charging tech will allow the Realme X50 5G to gain 70 percent battery power in just 30 minutes. The smartphone will be also equipped with an 8mm ultra-large liquid cooled copper tube for heat dissipation. The device is expected to arrive with Android 10 OS and the custom version of ColorOS 7.

The other details of the Realme X50 5G are currently under the wraps. At the unveiling event of the Realme X50 5G in China, the company will be also unleashing Realme Buds Air for the home market. In India, the Realme Buds Air has already debuted with a pricing of Rs. 3,999. In China, it could be priced at around RMB 399 (~Rs.4,050). There is no information available on the pricing of the Realme X50 5G. The Redmi K30 5G has a starting price of RMB 1,999 (~Rs. 20,300). The Realme X50 5G may arrive with a similar starting price in China.
