At the beginning of this week, Realme confirmed that it will be launching the Realme X50 as its first 5G smartphone. The phone will be flaunting a pill-shaped cutout on the upper-left corner of its screen for housing its dual front-facing cameras. Also, the smartphone will carry support for dual-mode 5G in its home market. It is speculated that the Realme X50 5G will be announced in December. A fresh leak reveals that the Realme X50 5G phone will be accompanied by the Realme X50 Youth Edition 5G smartphone. The specifications of both phones have been leaked online.
Realme X50 5G specifications and features
The leak states that a 6.44-inch S-AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate will be available on the Realme X50 5G. The Snapdragon 735 5G that is expected to go official soon will bring 5G connectivity on the Realme X50 5G with up to 8GB of RAM. The device will ship with up to 256GB of storage.
The rear shell of the Realme X50 5G has a quad camera system on its back. It includes a Sony IMX686 60-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel superwide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. The dual front camera system has a 32-megapixel main lens and an 8-megapixel superwide lens. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. Going by the leaks, the Realme X50 5G will be the company’s phone to arrive with wireless charging support. The handset may hit the Chinese market in variants like 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
Realme X50 Youth Edition 5G specifications and features
As the name goes, the Realme X50 Lite (Youth Edition) is a lower-end version of the Realme X50 5G. The smartphone features a bigger 6.55-inch IPS LCD screen manufactured by JDI. It supports the usual refresh rate of 60Hz. The soon to be announced MediaTek MT6885 5G SoC fuels the Realme X50 Lite (Youth Edition) 5G phone. The SoC is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. The highest storage configuration available on the phone is 128GB.
The Realme X50 Youth Edition 5G has a quad camera setup on its back. It has a primary lens of 16-megapixels and the remaining camera sensors are same as the Realme X50 5G. It appears that the Realme X50 Youth Edition has a single punch-hole on the display for its 32-megapixel selfie snapper. It has a larger 5,000mAh battery that supports VOOC 4.0 fast charging, but lacks support for wireless charging. Its rumoured variants are 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.
In related news, a mysterious Realme RMX2030 device has been spotted on the database of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The identity of the phone is not known. However, it is being speculated to be the Realme X50, that may debut by next year in India. Since India doesn’t have 5G networks yet, it may receive only the 4G edition of the device.
