Realme X50 Tipped to Sport 6.6-inch LCD Screen, 64MP Sony IMX686 Sensor; Gets Certified on MIIT

Almost all smartphone manufacturers have already come up with their latest/first editions of the 5G smartphones in the markets. Huawei has recently launched the Huawei Nova 6 5G and the Honor V30 lineup of smartphones. Vivo has launched the Vivo X30 series of devices. Oppo is going to launch the Oppo Reno 3 series of 5G smartphones on December 26. Xiaomi, too, has already launched its Redmi K30 5G smartphone. It was high time that Realme did the same and, as it turns out, the upcoming Realme X50 5G smartphone is not too far from getting launched. The device has recently bagged the China MIIT certification that reveals some of its key specifications.

Realme X50 receives the MIIT certification, specifications revealed

The model number that has received the MIIT certification is RMX2051 which is being rumored to be the Realme X50 5G. The source further claims that the Realme X50 could feature a 6.6-inch LCD display with a dual punch-hole camera setup. As a matter of fact, the dual punch-hole setup has already been confirmed by the company courtesy of a promotional poster the company teased on Weibo a little while ago. Moreover, the Realme X50 5G will be equipped with the Snapdragon 765G processor and can possibly feature a 64MP quad rear camera setup. The primary camera, as claimed by the source, could be the Sony IMX686 sensor. Lastly, the device will have support for up to 30W of fast charging, as per the source.

The Realme X50 is also said to be competing with the likes of the recently launched Redmi K30 5G smartphone which also runs on the same chipset.

Meanwhile, Chase (CMO, Realme) has posted a new picture on his Weibo account that hints about the launch date of the device. The post says (roughly translated from Chinese), “The gym brushed up, after all, it is only _ _ days away from the press conference”. The placeholder for the number of days left for launch contains two dashes, meaning that the launch date could be approaching soon. Furthermore, in the background, we can see the number “20” which could possibly mean that the Realme X50 could be launching on January 5, 2020. This, however, is an assumption as of now, so we might as well take it like the same.

As of now, this is all we know about the Realme X50, but we are sure to get more knowledge on the matter as the launch date approaches.
