Realme X50 Pro 5G to debut on February 24th at MWC, key details revealed

Realme had recently confirmed that it will be launching its next flagship smartphone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 in Barcelona, Spain on February 24th. The company will be marking its presence at the show for the first time. Today, Realme China’s Chief Marketing Officer Xu Qi posted on Chinese social network Weibo to confirm that the Realme X50 Pro 5G flagship will be announced with “other surprises” on February 24th at MWC 2020. The post also confirms the design of the Realme X50 Pro 5G. It reveals that the phone will flaunt a dual punch-hole display like the Realme X50 5G that was unveiled last month in China. Realme’s MWC event will also see the arrival of its first smart TV.

Realme CMO recently shared a screenshot of the Realme X50 Pro 5G smartphone. It revealed quite a few important features of the phone. The RMX2071 model number mentioned in the screenshot was spotted in AnTuTu benchmarks in January. The handset recorded an average benchmarking score of 574,985.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G’s screenshot revealed that its display supports a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. This indicates that the phone supports a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. The screen may support s 120Hz refresh rate and it could be integrated with an in-display fingerprint reader. The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform is present under the hood of the device along with 12GB of RAM. The handset offers users an internal storage of 256GB.

Android 10 will come preloaded on the smartphone along with the latest Realme V1.0 UI. It is already known that the smartphone will be equipped with UFS 3.0 storage and the latest LPDDR5 RAM technology.

Realme X50 5G specifications and price

The Realme X50 5G has a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 64-megapixel + 21-mgeapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad camera setup on its back. It has a front camera of 16-megapixels. The Snapdragon 765G powers the phone with up to 12GB of RAM. It offers up to 256GB of storage along with support for a microSD card slot. The device has a 4,500mAh battery with a 30W fast charger. The handset is currently only available in China with a starting price of 2,499 Yuan (~Rs 25,500).
