Realme had planned to attend MWC for the first time this year and launch a new phone called the Realme X50 Pro at an event on February 24th. However, the tech show was cancelled due to health concerns over the coronavirus. Realme still plans to go ahead and launch the X50 Pro on February 24th, but only through an online event. The company said that Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth will be joining the online launch event to introduce the brand’s future AIoT plans as well. In addition, the brand has revealed the fast charging capabilities of the Realme X50 Pro.

Realme Europe recently posted on Twitter to confirm that the Realme X50 Pro will flaunt support for 65W fast charging. This tech will have SuperDart branding, which the brand trademarked last year. Notably, the Realme X50 Pro will have much faster-charging capability as compared to the Realme X2 Pro that boasts 50W. The company hasn’t revealed the battery capacity of the upcoming smartphone at the moment.
Realme X50 Pro specifications and features
Realme has already confirmed that the X50 Pro will come with dual punch holes for two selfie cameras on the top-left of the full HD+ display. The phone will draw power from Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor called the Snapdragon 865. The device will have support for the dual-mode 5G (NSA and SA). The handset will be equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The smartphone is expected to boot Android 10 out of the box with the Realme UI custom skip on top.
As for the other features, earlier reports have suggested that the Realme X50 Pro will have a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor. At the rear, the device is said to offer a quad-camera setup. The main sensor is tipped to be a 60MP Sony IMX686 lens, which is rumoured to be aided by an 8MP super-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone is said to offer a 32MP main camera, which will be paired with an 8MP secondary snapper. No other details about the handset are available at the moment.
Realme X50 Pro price and availability
As of now, there’s no word regarding the pricing of the Realme X50 Pro. However, reports suggest that the handset could be launched in India soon after its unveiling on February 24th.
