Realme X50 Pro 5G with Snapdragon 865 and 65W fast charging launched in India, prices start at Rs 37,999

Last month, Realme had launched the Realme X50 in China. Today, the Chinese smartphone maker has debuted the Pro variant of the Realme X50 in India. As the name suggests, the latest offering comes with significant upgrades compared to the standard variant. The Realme X50 Pro 5G packs flagship-level specifications. Prior to launch, the company had teased a few key specs of the smartphone. Notably, the Realme X50 Pro 5G is the first smartphone to be launched in the country with support for next-gen 5G networks. Let’s delve into the technical specifications below.


Realme X50 Pro 5G specifications and features

Beginning with the display, the Realme X50 Pro 5G offers a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate panel. It features a dual punch-hole camera cutout at the top left corner. The smartphone offers a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio, 1,000 nits brightness, blue light filter and HDR10+ support. It is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Design-wise, the Realme X50 Pro 5G flaunts a glass unibody chassis with a matte texture design. The back panel houses a vertically stacked quad-camera setup at the top left corner. The smartphone can be availed in Moss Green and Rust Red colour options. On the audio front, the Realme X50 Pro 5G is equipped with dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. 

The quad-camera setup on the Realme X50 Pro 5G consists of a primary 64MP f/1.8 Samsung ISOCELL sensor, an 8MP ultrawide+macro lens, a 13MP telephoto shooter and a 2MP BnW portrait camera. The telephoto sensor offers 2x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom support. The device also features SAT smooth zoom technology which is said to offer seamless switching between image and video mode. In the front, the punch-hole cutout accommodates a 32MP Sony IMX616 main snapper accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The Realme X50 Pro 5G comes with camera features like Nightscape 3.0, portrait mode, HDR, EIS and video stabilisation. It also supports RAW image format. 

Under the hood, the Realme X50 Pro 5G houses Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 865 processor. It supports dual-mode 5G networks including NSA and SA standards. The chipset is coupled with the latest LPDDR5 RAM technology and UFS 3.0 storage. The X50 Pro 5G is offered in three RAM and storage configurations up to 12GB and 256GB respectively. The device is also equipped with a vapour chamber cooling system for heat dissipation. The smartphone draws its power from a 4,200mAh battery unit with support for 65W SuperDart Charge technology. Realme claims that it is capable of charging the battery fully in just 35 minutes. Software-wise, the Realme X50 Pro runs Android 10 with ColorOS 7 layered on top. 

The Realme X50 Pro 5G supports 5G connectivity, although 5G networks are still not available in India. The smartphone features dual-channel GPS with L1 and L5 bands for fast and accurate location. Other connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm jack and a USB-C port. 

Realme X50 Pro 5G price in India

Realme has priced the X50 Pro 5G 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants at Rs 37,999 and Rs 39,999. The top-end model i.e. 12GB + 256GB carries a price tag of Rs 44,999. The smartphone will go on sale on Flipkart and from today i.e. February 24th, 6 pm onwards. Realme also announced that the brand is launching its first fitness band on March 5. 

At this price tag, the Realme X50 Pro 5G will compete against the OnePlus 7T, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Galaxy S10 Lite and others.
