Realme hosted a mega launch event in China today, where the brand launched several products. Among these is the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition. Notably, the same smartphone has been popping up on the rumour mill as the Realme ‘Blade Runner’, the official render of which was recently shared by the company’s CMO Xu Qi Chase.
The latest launch from the brand comes in as a gaming phone with 90Hz display and Snapdragon 865 SoC. The phone features superior gaming performance and 65W SuperDart fast charging as its key highlights. The Realme X50 Pro Player Edition is essentually the Realme X50 Pro 5G (review) with advanced gaming features and slightly different cameras on the front and back.
Realme X50 Pro Player Edition specifications and features
The Realme X50 Pro Player Editon ships with a 6.44-inch super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The full HD+ screen features an E3 luminescent material, HDR 10+ certification and 92 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, which is accompanied by up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone comes with gaming-specific features such as HyperBoost 3.0, vapour chamber cooling technology and graphite sheets between the battery and the back panel for heat dissipation.
In the optics department, the smartphone features a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary camera with an 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and a 2MP portrait camera. The front panel houses a 16MP camera and 2MP depth sensor. The camera app comes with features like UIS anti-shake video recording, real-time blur and slow-motion video, new portrait filter, super text function, and macro mode, among others.
Powering the smartphone is a 4,200mAh battery, with support for 65W SuperDart fast charging. Realme claims that the phone can charge from 0 to 100 percent in 35 minutes and provide an hour of calls just after three minutes of charging.
Realme X50 Pro Player Edition price and availability
The Realme X50 Pro Player edition will retail at RMB 2,999 (~Rs 32,200), RMB 3,299 (~Rs 35,120) and RMB 3,599 (~Rs 38,350) for the 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 12GB+ 128GB variants, respectively. The handset will be up for pre-order in China starting May 25th at 5pm, and will go on sale starting midnight on June 1st. Realme is offering the X50 Pro Player Edition in silver and black colour options.
