The Realme X7 Max 5G has launched in India today. It has arrived as India’s first smartphone with the Dimensity 1200 chipset. The handset is the the rebranded version of the Realme GT Neo that the company had announced in April in China.

The X7 Max is the third X7 series phone from the brand for India after the Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro smartphones, which were announced earlier this year. The new handset’s key features include a 120Hz display, 64-megapixel triple rear cameras, and a 4,500mAh battery with fast charge support.

India has received the Realme X7 Max 5G in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants. It can be purchased in three colours such as Milky Way, Asteroid Black and Mercury Silver.

The Realme X7 Max 5G is India’s phone powered by the Dimensity 1200 chipset

The Realme X7 Max 5G has a 6.43-inch S-AMOLED punch-hole display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1,000 nits brightness, and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The Dimensity 1200 chipset fuels the X7 Max 5G along with LPPDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The X7 Max 5G is backed by a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 50W SuperDart charging technology. The company claims that the fast-charging tech can charge the battery to 50 percent capacity in just 16 minutes. It also supports reverse charging. The smartphone is equipped with a stainless-steel vapour cooling system that is capable at reducing CPU temperature by up to 15°C.

For selfies, it features a 16MP front camera. The rear camera system of the smartphone comprises a Sony IMX682 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The rear cameras come with features like super night mode, professional mode, portrait mode, HDR, AI scene recognition, timelapse, filter, EIS, UIS, and UIS Max video stabilisation, 480fps 1080p slow-motion video shooting, and 60fps 4K recording.

The phone runs Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. It comes with connectivity options such as dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It does not feature a microSD card slot. Lastly, the phone comes with an IPX4 rating for resistance against water splashes.
