Realme X7 series with 120Hz displays launching in China on September 1st

Realme is set to unveil a new Realme X7 series comprising a standard and Pro variant. The company confirmed today on its official Weibo account that the upcoming offerings will debut on September 1st at 2pm in China. The announcement was followed by Realme’s VP Xu Qi Chase saying that the Realme X7 series will be a new lineup in the company’s portfolio and won’t be the successors to the X2 (review) and X3 series.

Chase added that the upcoming X7 series will feature a new design. Realme also shared launch teasers of the smartphones revealing a few key specifications.

The Realme X7 series will come with a 120Hz AMOLED display

From the teasers, the Realme X7 series is confirmed to feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate screen. The smartphones will come with a punch-hole selfie camera cutout at the top left corner. The Realme X7 series is also confirmed to offer support for 5G connectivity. The launch poster mentions Chinese text that translates to ‘thin and light flash charging flagship’. 

Apart from the confirmed specs from the teaser, there are not many details about the Realme X7 series. The standard and Pro variants with model numbers RMX2176 and RMX2121 respectively were spotted on certification sites. The TENNA listing of the Realme RMX2176 revealed a 6.43-inch FHD+ display, a 2.4GHz processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The smartphone is expected to sport a rectangular quad-camera module. Both the standard and Pro models are expected to support 65W fast charging feature.
