Realme X7 series India launch teased by Madhav Sheth, tipped to arrive on January 28th

Last September, Realme debuted its X7 series including a standard and Pro variant in China. Later in November, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth had announced that the brand will bring the X7 series to the country in 2021.

Now Sheth has started teasing the Realme X7 series on his Twitter handle. This hints that the smartphone is closer to launch date although it has not been announced yet. The teaser includes four images shot with by Realme fans with ‘X7’ typo. 

According to a user, the four pictures teased multiplied by 7 results into 28. So the Realme X7 is likely to arrive on January 28th. Notably, last month, the Pro variant appeared on Realme India’s support page further hinting at an imminent launch in the country. We will know more details in the coming weeks.

The Realme X7 series is completely new and won’t arrive as the successors to the Realme X2 and X3. Both the standard X7 and X7 Pro feature a 6.5-inch punch-hole AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The gradient back panel houses a rectangular camera module and the brand’s tagline in bold letters. 

The Realme X7 and X7 Pro sport quad-rear camera setup of 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP BnW shooter and a 2MP macro unit. Both devices feature a 32MP front-facing selfie snapper. 

The Realme X7 is equipped with a Dimensity 800U SoC while the Pro variant is powered by a Dimensity 1000+ processor. The devices pack up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The standard and Pro models run on 4,300 and 4,500mAh batteries respectively with support for 65W fast charging. The Realme X7 and X7 Pro also support dual SIM 5G connectivity along with WiFi 6, Type-C port and dual-frequency GPS.
