Realme X7, Realme X7 Pro with Dimensity chipsets launched in India: price, specifications

Realme has finally launched the Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro smartphones in India. The X7 series is the company’s first mid-range phones with 5G support for India.

The Realme X7 5G comes with some key features such as an AMOLED display and 64-megapixel triple cameras. It is India’s smartphone to feature the Dimensity 800 chipset.

The Realme X7 Pro 5G comes with a high refresh supporting AMOLED screen, 64-megapixel quad cameras and the more powerful Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset. While the Realme X7 Pro 5G is the exact same model that debuted in China back in September, the Realme X7 5G is a rebadged version of Realme V15 5G that went official last month in China.

The Realme X7 has a 6.4-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ display with a punch-hole design. It supports a 20:9 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

The Dimensity 800U chipset fuels the Realme X7 5G with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The handset has a 4,310mAh battery that supports 50W SuperDart fast charging. The company claims that the device can fully charge in around 47 minutes using the 50W charger.

At the front, the Realme X7 has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 front camera. The rear camera module has a 64-megpaixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree field-of-view, and a 2-megapixel macro lens with 4cm focal length. The X7 5G supports UIS Max video stabilization, 120fps 1080p slow-motion footages and 30fps 4K video recording.

The Realme X7 Pro has a 6.55-inch S-AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, 100 precent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 1200 nits brightness. The screen is also equipped with an in-screen fingerprint reader and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Placed on the front of the Realme X7 Pro 5G is a 32-megapixel selfie snapper. Its rear shell has a quad-camera system that comprises a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 119-degree FOV, a 2-megapixel B&W lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens with a 4cm focal length. It offers users with new NightScape mode, Handheld Nightscape Mode, real-time bokeh effect in the video, UIS Max video stablisation, 120fps 1080p slow-motion video shooting, and 60fps 4K video recording.

The Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset with dual 5G SIM support powers the Realme X7 Pro 5G. The SoC is accompanied by LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage with Turbo Write technology. The 4,500mAh battery of the smartphone supports 65W SuperDart fast charging technology. It takes only 37 minutes for the phone to charge completely through the 65W charging tech, claims the company.

The Realme X7 5G and Realme X7 Pro 5G boots Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 10. Both phones come with other common features such as dual-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Pro model gets additional features such as Dolby Atmos dual speakers and NFC connectivity. These phones lack support for a microSD card slot and 3.5mm audio jack.

Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro price in India

The Realme X7 5G comes in two configurations such as 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. They are priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively. It is available in Space Silver and Nebula colour options.

On the other hand, the Realme X7 Pro comes in a sole 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version in India. It is priced at Rs 29,999 and it can be bought in colours like Fantasy and Mystic Black.

The Realme X7 will go on through Realme India’s website and Flipkart starting from 12 PM on February 12th. The same platform will begin with the sales of the Realme X7 Pro 5G from 12 PM on February 10th. Buyers of Realme X7 series can take advantage of Rs 2,000 instant discount by using ICICI bank cards and EMI, and Rs 1,500 instant discount with AXIS bank cards and EMI. At the event, Realme also announced the Realm Upgrade Program that allows users to purchase X7 series by only paying 70 percent and a balance year later. With the upgrade program, the Realme X7 and X7 Pro models can be purchased for Rs 13,999, Rs 15,399, and Rs 20,999.
