Realme X7 and X7 Pro with 64MP quad cameras, 65W fast charging launched: price, specifications

At a virtual launch event held in China today, Realme has introduced two new smartphones in its X-series portfolio. The Realme X7 series consists of a standard model and a Pro variant. It should be noted that the latest offerings aren’t the successors to Realme X2 and X3 series.

Prior to launch, Realme had teased a few features of the X7 series. Both smartphones feature a new design language with prominent lettering on the back panel. However, they are slightly different in terms of specifications. Let’s find out what the Realme X7 series offers out of the box

Realme X7 and X7 Pro specifications and features

The Realme X7 and X7 Pro feature 64MP quad cameras and 5G support.

The Realme X7 series features 6.5-inch AMOLED displays bearing FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole camera cutout at the top left corner. The X7 Pro’s display features a 120Hz refresh rate, support for DC Dimming and 1,200 nits peak brightness. The smartphones are equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Realme X7 series feature a gradient back panel with the brand’s ‘Dare to Leap’ tagline in bold letters. The smartphones sport a rectangular camera module. 

In the camera department, both the Realme X7 and X7 Pro feature a quad-camera setup. The setup comprises a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor on the X7 Pro. The standard variant also has a 64MP snapper but it doesn’t feature the same sensor as the X7 Pro. On both devices, the main shooter is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP black and white portrait sensor and 2MP macro camera. Up front, the Realme X7 series features a 32MP selfie snapper. 

Under the hood, the standard Realme X7 is powered by a Dimensity 800U processor, while the Pro variant is the first smartphone to be equipped with a Dimensity 1000+ chipset. Both devices come with support 5G connectivity. The Realme X7 series is offered with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The standard and Pro variants are backed by 4,300mAh and 4,500mAh batteries, respectively. Both devices support 65W VOOC fast charging. 

Connectivity-wise, the Realme X7 series comes with support for dual-SIM 5G, WiFi 6, Type-C port and dual-frequency GPS.

Realme X7 and X7 Pro pricing and availability

The Realme X7 is priced at RMB 1,799 (~Rs 19,200) for the 6GB + 128GB configuration, while the 8GB + 256GB option costs RMB 2,399 (~Rs 25,600). On the other hand, the X7 Pro’s base variant i.e. 6GB + 128GB starts at RMB 2,199 (~Rs 23,500). The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants carry a price tag of RMB 2,499 (~Rs 26,700) and RMB 3,199 (~Rs 34,150) respectively. The Realme X7 series is up for pre-orders in China with both the standard and Pro variant going on sale on September 7th.
