At a launch event today, Realme unveiled its 64MP camera phone Realme XT and two new accessories – Realme Buds Wireless and Realme Power Bank. Realme India CEO, Madhav Seth also confirmed that a new variant of the Realme XT is in the works and will be launched in December this year.
Recently, a variant of the Realme XT surfaced on TENAA listing with model number RMX1991. Realme says the new model will be called Realme XT 730G, and as the name suggests, it will come with a Snapdragon 730G processor compared to the Snapdragon 712 chipset found on the Realme XT. The device will be targeted at gamers, and will also feature 30W VOOC flash charging instead of 20W.
The rest of the specifications remain the same as the Realme XT. The device will retain the Super AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and Hyperbola 3D glass design. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit. The smartphone will also sport the same quad-camera setup comprising of a 64MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP portrait lens and 2MP macro camera. However, on the front, the device could feature a 32MP selfie snapper compared to 16MP on the Realme XT. It is unknown whether the upgraded variant will come with a notch display or pop-up camera mechanism.
The key differences revealed between Realme XT and Pro variant is in terms of processor and charging speed. We will have to wait until December to know more about the upcoming smartphone.
