Realme XT India launch set for September 13th

Realme has announced that it will be launching the Realme XT smartphone in India at an event on September 13th, which will take place in Delhi at 12.30pm on the day. The company had already announced the complete specifications of the phone at a separate event last month. Now, the Realme XT India price and availability remain to be revealed at the event on September 13th. The handset will arrive as the first 64MP camera-toting smartphone in the country, and will be rivalled by the Redmi Note 8 Pro in the coming weeks.

Realme XT specifications

The Realme XT sports a premium-looking design with a shiny back that features a gradient finish. The phone has a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and rear. On the front, the handset is equipped with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the smartphone has an octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor. The phone comes in three RAM and storage configurations – 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 8GB + 128GB.

Realme XT will come in India as the country’s first 64MP camera-toting phone

In the camera department, the Realme XT sports a 64MP Samsung Bright GW1 primary camera at the rear. The main sensor is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP camera for portrait imaging, and a 2MP sensor for macro photography. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 16MP shooter on the front that’s embedded inside the notch. Software-wise, the phone boots Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6 out of the box.

In terms of connectivity, the Realme XT has been loaded with dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS. For security, the phone features an under-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock functionality. The whole package is fuelled by a beefy 4,000mAh battery, which supports VOOC 3.0 20W fast charging.
