Realme XT with 64MP quad-camera launched in India, prices start at Rs 15,999

Back in August, Realme had announced that it would unveil a 64MP quad-camera smartphone dubbed as Realme XT in September. Today, at a launch event held in Delhi, the company has launched the Realme XT, which is the first phone with a 64MP camera in the country. Let’s take a detailed look to find out what this the Realme XT offers out of the box.

Display & Design:

Beginning with the display, the Realme XT sports a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen bearing full HD+ resolution. There is a dewdrop notch on the top and the device offers a 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Realme XT flaunts a 3D glass back panel with a hyperbola curve design. The device is fitted with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and rear panel that ensures durability. The Realme XT is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner featuring the GOODIX G3.0 sensor for maximum security and quick unlocking. On the audio front, the smartphone comes with Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience. 


In the photography department, the Realme XT is equipped with a quad-camera setup. The module consists of a 64MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, featuring Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. For bright and more detailed images, the sensor uses 2 x 2 Tetracell pixel binning technology combine four pixels into one larger pixel, resulting in 16MP images. Alongside the main sensor, there is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP portrait sensor, and another 2MP ultra-macro camera. In the front, the Realme XT features a 16MP selfie shooter. Like all Realme smartphones, this one is too loaded with camera features like Nightscape, filters, and Chroma Boost. The device is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps and slow-mo videos at 240fps.  

Hardware, Battery and OS:

Under the hood, the Realme XT houses a Snapdragon 712 processor clocked at 2.3Ghz. The device is offered in three RAM and storage configurations up to 8GB and 128GB respectively. The internal storage is expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The Realme XT is powered by a 4,000mAh battery unit with support for 20W VOOC 3.0 flash charging. Out of the box, the phone runs Android 9 Pie with ColourOS 6.0.1 skinned on the top. The smartphone comes with system-wide dark mode, digital wellbeing, and app clone feature. There is also HyperBoost 2.0 for smooth gaming performance.

Connectivity-wise, the Realme XT offers dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, GPS and GLONASS. 

Pricing & Availability:

The base variant of Realme XT i.e. 4GB + 64GB has been priced at Rs 15,999. The 6GB + 64GB version will cost Rs 16,999 while the top-end 8GB + 128GB model carries a price tag of Rs 18,999. The smartphone can be availed in Pearl Blue and Pearl White colour options. 

The Realme XT will go on sale on Flipkart starting September 12th at 12pm. The smartphone will soon be available across offline channels.
