Realme XT receives a price cut of Rs 1,000 in India

The Realme XT arrived in September last year and proved itself a strong budget smartphone. The handset’s successor, called the Realme X2 was recently launched with a similar price tag. Today, the company has announced a price cut for Realme XT and the reduced price is effective on Flipkart and Realme’s official website. The device was priced at Rs 15,999 earlier and after receiving the cut, it costs Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. By doing this, Realme has clearly positioned the phone against the likes of Redmi Note 8 Pro which costs Rs 14,999 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model. The other two variants of Realme XT (review) have also received a price cut.

Realme XT specifications and features

The Realme XT sports a Snapdragon 712 processor and 64MP quad camera setup

The Realme XT sports a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. For security purposes, the device is equipped with an under-display fingerprint reader. The screen to body ratio of the device is 91.9 percent while a waterdrop notch houses the selfie snapper on top. The Realme XT is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 octa-core processor with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It boots ColorOS 6.0.1 atop Android 9 Pie.

In terms of camera performance, the handset relies on a 64MP primary Samsung ISOCELL GW1 Bright primary sensor. The main sensor is assisted by an 8MP 119-degree wide-angle camera, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. It packs features like Chroma Boost, HDR, Portrait, Nightscape and more. For selfies and video calling, a 16MP snapper with 4-in-1 pixel binning technology is placed inside the waterdrop notch. The Realme XT hosts a 4,000mAh battery unit with support for 20W VOOC 3.0 flash charging and USB Type-C.

Realme XT price in India

As mentioned earlier, the base version of the device will sell for Rs 14,999. Its 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants will cost Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999, respectively.
