Yesterday, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth had shared an image that was shot using an unnamed 64-megapixel quad camera smartphone. The smartphone will be featuring the Samsung ISOCEL GW1 64-megapixel sensor that was announced in May this year. Sheth has confirmed that the company will be launching the smartphone first in India. Soon after he shared the first camera sample, the official Realme Weibo account posted an image of the phone’s quad camera module.
As it can be seen in the image beow, the unknown Realme phone will be sporting a vertical quad camera setup with a 64-megapixel lens as the primary sensor. There is a distinctive yellow ring for the main sensor. A dual-tone LED flash can be seen positioned alongside the quad camera module.
Through the information that shared through Weibo, the company has claimed that the 64-megapixel Realme phone can be shoot ultra-high resolution photos of 9,216 x 6,912 pixels. The resulting images will be clearer and detailed, but also realistic, according to the brand. Even after zooming and cropping, users will be able to see high-quality photos. With assistance of the other three sensors and AI features, the unnamed Realme phone will be able to capture stellar images.
The ISOCEEL Bright GW1 that has a sensor size of 1/1.72 and a pixel size of 1.6µm is currently the highest pixel sensor in the mobile phone industry. Through the upgraded ISOCELL Plus pixel isolation technology, the light interference between the pixels is further reduced. It makes it possible to significantly improve the image sensitivity and color fidelity. Shown below is the official shot that was snapped using the 64-megapixel Realme smartphone.

Powered with Tetracell pixel-binning technology and remosaic algorithm, the 64-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor can shoot 16-megapixel images in low-light conditions. In daylight, it can capture 64-megapixel shots. For increasing the sharpness of the image, it is equipped with Super PD technology. Its other features include up to 100-decibels of real-time HDR, full HD video shooting at 480fps and full HD super slow-motion video recording.
Coming back to the Realme phone 64MP phone, nothing is known on its specifications. The Weibo post states that the phone will go official in the second half of the year.
Sheth has dubbed the phone has “premium killer” which suggests that it could be arriving with powerful internals. Apart from the Realme X, the Realme 4 Pro is expected to arrive as the next major phone from the company. It remains to be seen whether the 64-megapixel quad camera setup will be available on Realme 4 Pro or an entirely new device. Now that the Weibo post also confirms the arrival of 64-megapixel Realme phone, it appears that the smartphone will also debut in China after India.
